Alhamdulillah, the Islamic Society of Darra Mosque stands as one of Brisbane’s largest and most vibrant mosques — a true multicultural hub where Muslims from all over the world come together to worship, learn, and connect.

Our doors are always open — not only to Muslims, but also to non-Muslims who wish to learn about Islam and the Oneness of Allah (SWT). Many visitors, students, and families have walked through our mosque to gain a deeper understanding of faith, unity, and peace through Islam.

We are blessed to host a variety of programs and initiatives for the benefit of our community:

• 🕌 Wednesday Night Seerah Program — a weekly gathering to learn about the life and teachings of Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ).
• 🌙 Youth Programs — providing a space for our younger generation to learn, grow, and connect through Islamic guidance, teamwork, and fun activities.
• 🤲 Jumu’ah Talk — Attend the weekly talk by Imam Jawaad, filled with meaningful advice and life lessons. We encourage everyone to come early and benefit. 12:35 PM to 1:10 PM
• 💍 Venue Hire — our facilities are open for community use, including weddings, educational gatherings, and cultural events.

At the Islamic Society of Darra Mosque, we strive to create a space where hearts are connected through faith, knowledge, and brotherhood — working together to strengthen our community and prepare ourselves for the Ākhirah.

Alhamdulillah, the Ima'am Jauwaad of Islamic Society of Darra Mosque continues to provide educational programs that nurture both our youth and adults — helping us improve ourselves and prepare for the Ākhirah.

Islam places great importance on knowledge and learning, as they are keys to understanding our Deen and strengthening our connection with Allah (SWT). Our teachings are based on the Qur’an, Sunnah, and Hadith, guiding us to live according to the true principles of Islam.

Programs Offered:

• Madrassah: Classes for boys and girls covering Qur’an reading, Hifz, Hadith, Tawheed, and Islamic values. Classes run Monday to Thursday from 4pm to 7pm.
• Seerah Night: Every Wednesday after Isha, join Imaam Jawaad to learn about the life of Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) and the Sahaba, gaining inspiration to apply their lessons in daily life.
• Youth Program: Interactive sessions with meaningful talks, guest speakers, and engaging activities designed to connect our youth with Islam while building strong bonds within the community.

Our mosque, Alhamdulillah, is home to a vibrant, multicultural community representing over 40 nationalities. We encourage everyone — especially our youth — to join us, learn, and be part of building a stronger, united Muslim community for the sake of Allah (SWT).
